Hi, I'm Kate.

I help people navigate change with purpose, clarity, and confidence.

As a mental health counselor for over eight years, I’ve seen how disorienting big life changes can be, and how powerful they become when people have the tools and support they need to grow through them.

Together, we’ll build the skills you need to feel grounded in the face of uncertainty.

Big changes can stir up a lot: from identity questions to value conflicts, existential uncertainty to relational shifts.

It can feel disorienting, lonely, or like you're disappointing others by following your own path.

 

I’ve been there, and I’ve walked alongside others as they went through it, too. What I’ve learned is this:


You don’t need all the answers to find your footing. But you can root into your values, clarify your needs, and move forward with courage and compassion.

 

Together, we'll apply specific skills that can be practiced with intention—tools that help you land gently, navigate wisely, and integrate this change into your life in a meaningful way.

Change shakes things up sometimes in ways you didn't expect

Maybe you’ve landed in a new city, role, or chapter of life. You were excited, hopeful, and even relieved to leave the old behind. But now that you’re here, the reality feels more complex.

 

You might feel caught between who you were and who you want to become. You may be questioning your choices, navigating competing priorities, or longing for the comfort of what you left behind.

The middle can be messy. You don't have to sort through it alone. I'll hold space for you to process your experiences so you can sort through the chaos and quiet the noise.

How it works:

1. Schedule a free 15 minute consultation call: Email me at kate@oceanaadventures.com to set up a time to talk. Please include your availability and the best phone number to reach you.

 

2. Consultation: Our call is a chance for you to ask any questions you have for me, and share a bit about what you're going through. This will help you get a feel for my style, and help both of us assess whether I'd be a good fit for you at this time.

3. Schedule an initial session: I see clients in person in Grand Rapids, MI, and virtually for clients located throughout Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois.
